Hi John, Nice to meet you. :-) IMHO, I think it's always helpful to send patches to the devel list first for review in case some change could affect others to give them a heads-up. Since we're almost at code-freeze for 1.8.9, it might be particularly useful to post it for a day to allow for comments before committing it, but of course it's your call. I'm hoping we'll get the final few patches into cvs by the end of the week. Thank you very much for your help and support with ipmitool.
