Just a note that doing a modprobe msp3400 didn't change my situation any...

2.4.17

I haven't found anywhere that had that yet, but out of curiosity what file
is it that had that in it? I have checked all my init scripts etc and
nothing like that exists.

I did find this however, and it notes that there has been a problem with
this before... I will try loading the msp3400 driver and test that, but I
just find it odd that it used to work, but now doesn't. Here's the link to
the FAQ item I found:

http://ivtv.sourceforge.net/FAQ.html#_jump14

And after looking at that log output I posted in my last mail, I guess I am
running a saa7115, unless you think there's a way that it's mistakenly
finding the wrong chipset somehow?

hi,

yesterday I also had a problem with sound when upgrading to ivtv 7.

In my startup scripts, I had a line

modprobe msp3400 standard=0x03

Removing standard=0x03 fixed to sound problem.

bye,
