Hey folks, I posted this over at mythtv-users as well. Have a very strange issue. Rebuilt my mythbox after running fine for a few years on an older system.
I have 2 PVR250 cards. I can cat /dev/video0 > test0.mpg and cat /dev/video1 > test1.mpg and that works fine after powering on the box. However, once I start up mythbackend and start a recording on both tuners, /dev/video0 records just a blank static signal. Video1 works just fine. If I then kill mythbackend and retry my cat /dev/video0 > test0.mpg, I get a blank signal until I either reboot the server or reload ivtv. In addition, sometimes starting a recording on both tuners manually allows them both to work until the next regularly scheduled recording starts and then neither tuner works. If I restart ivtv and then start myth and go directly into livetv, i can usually get both tuners to work but then when the next regularly scheduled recording starts, both cards just record static until I reload ivtv. As an aside, way back when I built my first myth box using ivtv2.x i believe, I had to use an options tuner= line in modprobe.conf that was different for each tuner. For some reason, one of the tuners didn't autodetect correct even though their serial numbers are only like 50 apart. Not sure if this info is pertinent.
