I've found the PVR-250's to be the easiest to setup and configure for
TV capture. I went through the arduous task of setting up a PVR-350
for display output along time ago (back when the latest ivtv-drivers
were at .3.7c). The setup might be easier now.

I found the easiest way to setup TV out is through the video card. My
nvidia 5200 had a dongle that let me connect a Composite cable to it.
It just required some minor tweaking of the xorg.conf file.
