Unfortunately, I don't think anyone in a position to answer this question
at Sun would be on this mailing list.  What I can tell you is that I
summarized the responses to my quick survey last week into a rough 2 page
report.  It stressed the continued desire for a scenegraph oriented API,
noted several high-profile applications that will give it exposure, and
the willlingness of several community members to contribute code to
further versions. Thanks to everyone who submitted information.

My boss had a meeting with Scott McNealy himself (the CEO of Sun, for
those not familiar), and McNealy said "he was commited to Java3D" and put
the report in his suit pocket.  How much of this trickles down into
action, I'm not sure, but at least they now has feedback from some
key customers...
