If I could synchronise with *my* cloud - i.e. set up sync services on one of my own servers and expose those services on the 'net - it would not be an issue because my concerns are privacy based. I'm all for synchronisation over the cloud, but this only works if all my instances of my address book can be synchronised.
I guess what I'd really like to see is a package that allows me to set this up for myself.
