ok, these are basic things but its not jaws specifically that is the trouble, since my portable unit is an XP computer running jaws 13 and office 2003 and I never had a lick of trouble with it other than some of the excel keystrokes stopped working.
so... firstly open word, and then make sure that the word window is maximized, there are several ways to do this, but stock fast typing method for word is alt and spacebar, then hit X for maximize. second thing is to open the view menu (alt and v) and check what view is selected, normal or print view is the usual ones used. 3. next are a couple notes, first did you restart your computer after installing jaws 13? if not try it, on XP I sometimes got this kind of result after coming out of sleep mode and would have to close and restart jaws to be able to read things again. the next thing, is do you have other office applications installed on your computer, and are they being read (if you said something about this in your first message I can't remember so am just jotting it down just in case) ok, look these over, give them a try and let us know the end results, elf -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Mich Sent: Saturday, September 22, 2012 7:09 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] jaws no longer reading ms word 2003 docks after upgrading to jaws 13 please help.
