Victor, Exactly why I said I couldn't speak for all routers. I have used a couple of different routers but I can't remember having used a DLink. You can also change the default IP so it is possible your brother changed it from 1 dot 1 to zero dot 1.
the Linksys router has all the links labeled properly and asside from some strange layout stuff on a couple of the screens it is very straight forward. Ciao. -- Blue skies.
