I also have some RadioShack brand X10 gear (PowerHome?) that I got cheap on clearance sale quite a while back. X10 is a fairly open standard; you don't need to buy X-10 brand gear, and you certainly don't need to buy it from their web site. smarthome.com (?) is more pleasant, but eBay is cheaper. BTW, I understand that the CM17A Firecracker serial port RF transmitter (and TM751 RF receiver/module) that BottleRocket uses for X10 gear may be US-only due to the RF spectrum it uses. There's a similar powerline-only device that works in other countries (and an app called 'heyu' that looks like it'd be easy for my plugin to use), but I don't have that X10 gear and haven't received enough info from users to include support for heyu/CM11 in BottleRocket. I'd be happy to include support if someone wants to work with me (not necessarily write code, but at least test & give feedback), or buy me a CM11. :-)
