After looking at various X10 modules, it seems to me that in order to arrange for powered speakers to be switched on/off along with the Squeezebox Receiver, I'll need:
1. A Firecracker, which converts serial signals to RF. 2. A SqueezeCenter plugin that controls the Firecracker driver software. (BottleRocket is for Unix/Linux, right? I presume there's a Windows equivalent?) 3. An X10 RF Base, to receive the RF instructions. 4. An X10 appliance module, to actually switch the mains power. Have I misunderstood? Can the Firecracker directly control the appliance module without the need for the RF base? Or am I completely off-base here (and if I am please could you explain exactly what X10 components would be required?) -- cliveb Transporter -> ATC SCM100A ------------------------------------------------------------------------ cliveb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=348 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=43607 _______________________________________________ jive mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/jive
