OK, So now we have (on the Mac):
Phil: unsigned applet is requiring useCommandThread, then it works -- 3.6.8
and Java 1.6.0_20 (I think)
Bob: works fine, with fresh Firefox 3.6.8 and Java 1.5.0_16
Jay: works, fine with fresh Firefox 3.6.8 and Java [what??]
Jeff: doesn't work with Firefox 3.6.8 and Java [what??] [Does that include
the NT3 page?]

Jeff, please try loading chlorophyll via the Jmol console by typing
load Structures/chlorophyll.pdb
into the Jmol applet console. I'm betting it loads.
