I actually like Perforce better than I like SVN, mostly because it has true labels/tags, and SVN has decided that it doesn't need them, and can approximate them with virtual copies (hokey). There is, of course, the question of OSS purity, and we all react to that differently and perhaps differently at different times. Nevertheless, in the spirit of helpfulness: http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/practicalperforce/index.html Of course the first thing you'll notice is that this costs $39.95 and the SVN book is downloadable, even though printed by the same publisher. Which is exactly what I'm saying.
I too like Perforce better than SVN. Unfortunately I can't convince my company to use it and am stuck with using it only for my projects. I may look into purchasing this book though. Thanks.
