There is a fairly terse, but correct-looking description on the Wiki <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pixel_aspect_ratio> NTCS full-screen is approximately 0.9117:1, and wide-screen is approximately 1.21557:1. The full-screen pixels are narrower than they are tall, and the wide screen pixels are wider than they are tall.
