Two points: 1. That's another service with a monetory value contributed by our kindly benefactor. Is it "Binary Tribe" we owe appreciation to. I would think these contributions would be reasonably classed as charitable contributions -- are you at least getting some tax benefits out of this JP? 2. Backup in this context means protection against loss of data due to server meltdown, right? Objective is to be able to repair, restore and resume operations as if nothing had happened, right? Is there anything else we might want to worry about? 2a. do we want offsite data, maybe on lower frequency basis? 2b. do we want archival data, seems like much more trouble, but nevertheless, might (say) a yearly mirror be a neat thing for future KPLUG archaeologists? (Could be integrated with the offsite idea). Maybe the mail list archives already exist -- do we need a bit of documentation on these things?
