IIRC, elevator trim tab flutter was what led to the crash of Jimmy Leeward's P-51 "Galloping Ghost" at the 2011 Reno air races. Leeward was killed along with 10 people on the ground, and another 69 people were injured. I have no idea how the P-51's trim tab was actuated.
