Hey guys,
I am new to this group and hope someone can point an easy solution for my
KR2 landing gear break fixes?
I bought a KR2 project and now nearly 99% completed and ready to test fly
except the issue of landing gear cable break on the right side:
It is called the "cable end" used for adjustment of break tightness on the
two front landing wheels (one on each side attached on the wheel plates
with cable going through it). This is old style mechanical cable-activated
break system for my KR2, and the "cable end" (looks like a 1/4 inch
diameter and 2 inch long screw with hole going through it) which broke into
two pieces and needs to be replaced! I have called many places but find
nowhere has this kind of "cable end" break part for sale?
I will truly appreciate if someone in this group may have a spare part like
this or please kindly advice or pointing in the right place for me to buy
one?
Many thanks in advance!

Had similar thing happen 30 years ago. Guy was yelling at me for back
taxiing after landing (had to). Too lazy to go around so landed
unsafely and yelled at me. There are jerks who apparently can afford
an airplane.

up
looking at the wind straight down the runway. So I thought I would take a
once around the pattern. so once in the air I tought this is nice so I
headed out to buzz the my house. All cool and fun. I haven't been out in
weeks. Still a short flight, set up for landing and had a nice little
slippery little landing. Started to brake as she glided out and it started
taking more and more right brake and rudder and still drifiting off center
to the left. As the speed bleed off and the weight started to settle I
realized that I had a flat on teh left. All no beg deal really. I was
going
to stop and makfe a swing around on the runway to exist the to taxi way
that I was barely 15 feet past. Thsi is wehre I started to have an issue.
A
cesna called that he was departing. I called him specifically to hold and
I
was still on th e runway with a flat. He continued to call depature right
after I called him. I quickly decided to pull in to the grass and off the
runway at least. I called him 2 more times. HE went anyway. After he was
airborn I told him again that that was not right. HE said he saw me and I
was clear. I told him that I am the only one that can call me clear of the
runway. I just was not happy about this disreguard.. Am I wrong? If so at
least I venedt amongst friends.
