See http://www.krnet.org/newsletter/ for more on the Newsletters, as well as issues 2-16 of the "KR Quarterly" that Steve Bennett put out (still looking for issue number one, if anybody has it!). http://www.krnet.org/newsletter/kr_newsletter.pdf is a direct link to download all of the old KR Newsletters in a single file. I searched this whole file earlier, and read every instance of "cable" (and there were many), and found no mention of this particular part, which apparently was part of a kit, and therefore a non-issue to most builders.
