Hello, This is related to the post Frank mentioned http://krusader.sourceforge.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=1512
The 1.70.0 version used different krusader.rc in Ubuntu when launching K! from terminal or from used instance. Again launching K! from within this root brings you to the correct root. The thing seems to be fixed in cvs after 03.08. It could also be Ubuntu KDE problem. There were some updates.
