Kali, I wasn't implying that the tragedy of Taffy's death was your daughter's fault. That is why I separated my message of sympathy to you by saying "For future reference to all dog owners." I am sorry if you took that as pointing a finger to anyone in your family. I was just saying that we need to learn from your very sad and unfortunate experience. Sorry. Paula, I wouldn't keep ANY collar on a dog in a crate without someone around to make sure that no tragedy occurs. What happened to poor Taffy is not the usual outcome of a collared, crated dog. But it happens more often than you might think and even if it only happened to one dog, that's not a risk I am willing to take. Taffy didn't have a choke collar on, it was a nylon collar. Kim did a lot of research on caring for the puppy and it was only the 4th time Taffy was in the crate. Yahoo! Groups Links
