Title: Re: [labradoodles] My Daughter lost her labradoodle today/ Kali.
Adrienne, I'm sorry if I was snippy, I didn't mean to be. She is looking for another pup, not because she doesn't miss Taffy, because she still has a place in her heart for a puppy.
She has three boys and misses her "girlfriend". It took her two months to find the perfect dog-she said when she saw the picture, she was in love.
My Kim is a wonderful person and is broken hearted and almost afraid to get another puppy-she says it hurts so much.
If any of you know of a labradoodle in the Virginia area, including north and south Carolina, Florida, Ohio-we all live in those areas, let me know.
Our whole family has chipped in to get her a pup, an early birthday present.

Kali,  I wasn't implying that the tragedy of Taffy's death was your daughter's fault.  That is why I separated my message of sympathy to you by saying "For future reference to all dog owners."  I am sorry if you took that as pointing a finger to anyone in your family.  I was just saying that we need to learn from your very sad and unfortunate experience.  Sorry.

Paula,  I wouldn't keep ANY collar on a dog in a crate without someone around to make sure that no tragedy occurs. What happened to poor Taffy is not the usual outcome of a collared, crated dog.  But it happens more often than you might think and even if it only happened to one dog, that's not a risk I am willing to take.

Taffy didn't have a choke collar on, it was a nylon collar. Kim did a lot of research on caring for the puppy and it was only the 4th time Taffy was in the crate.
