Thank you Kali.  The heartbreak is tremendous and one really never gets over it;  But it does recede more to the back of one's mind rather than right there in front all the time.  I think a puppy is an excellent idea, but make sure she's ready for it.  I had to wait 5 mos. before I was able to look for another furbaby.  Everyone's different in that regard, but I'm sure you will know when the time is right by watching and listening to her. I'm in CA so don't have a clue about a pup in VA, but I wish you and your family the best of luck and good wishes in finding your new family member. Adrienne and Scoutie   Adrienne, I'm sorry if I was snippy, I didn't mean to be. She is looking for another pup, not because she doesn't miss Taffy, because she still has a place in her heart for a puppy. She has three boys and misses her "girlfriend". It took her two months to find the perfect dog-she said when she saw the picture, she was in love. My Kim is a wonderful person and is broken hearted and almost afraid to get another puppy-she says it hurts so much. If any of you know of a labradoodle in the Virginia area, including north and south Carolina, Florida, Ohio-we all live in those areas, let me know. Our whole family has chipped in to get her a pup, an early birthday present. Kali      Yahoo!
