My husband and I want to donate a pup from each litter to be a
guide/companion dog but just don't know who to contact about
it.
I got really sick last year and my lab, Maddie,
came to my rescue. We had rescued her from a puppy mill where she
had litter after litter and was never loved or let out of a small dog
run. She was wild when we introduced her to her new 1/2 acre
home. I spent on weekend devoted to bonding with her and now she
doesn't leave my side. Anyway, I was sitting on the floor and when I tried
to get up my knees wouldn't support me. I was home alone.
Maddie came to me and put her head under my arm and lifted me
to a chair. She just knew what to do
instinctively.
If anyone has any ideas where to start researching this please
let me know. With what we get paid for a quality
"doodle" I want to give something back.
