Jerry, according to the Legacy manual you can change the preferred setting to another child by in any of the views of list of the children in a family by highlighting the preferred childn and clicking on the SET TO PREFERRED CHILD in the lower left hand corner of the window. (actually it's more in the bottom center). I was curious about my own database and there is no child set as preferred so it must be a setting someone has to select. I don't see the point so just as happy mine didn't come up that way. I don't need more bells & whistles to confuse me. Ludie Tollar
