As soon as my head hit the pillow (almost midnight local), I remembered what I 
had done in the past.
Restore the 'best' backup and name it XULLIVAN or similar. See if it comes up 
clean (and still has the duplicate person). If yes, carefully
do the Merge in 'XULLIVAN', and I hope it works.
Otherwise, Legacy staff may want you to send your DB to them. In similar 
situations, they have always responded quickly.
