Hi Brian: I realize that you are not the OP... Some of us had this discussion a while back. First of all, we need to keep in mind that the Jet database is being updated by Legacy as you enter data, not at the end when you quit Legacy. Secondly, if the database resides in a Dropbox folder, Dropbox monitors the file for changes and only uploads the changed portion of the file. So if you make a change in a 20mb file, Dropbox will determine the "chunk" of the file that was updated (by some proprietary mechanism) and only uploads that "chunk". Dropbox does have safeguards in place to handle competing updates ... I vaguely remember reading about this months ago. Google is your friend. I would definitely read up on this and create a bulletproof recovery plan before proceeding in this direction. And using Legacy in this fashion probably voids your warranty. ;-) -- Dennis Kowallek (LTools) http://zippersoftware.com/ltools/index.htm http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ltools NOTE TO LUG USERS: Use plain text if you want me to read your post.
