Ian, It may not be a printer driver, but Legacy seems to think it is, at least some of the time. And this may be the cause of our intermittent report screen display failures. I probably need a true printer driver to get 100% positive results. But unless I'm completely shutout, I'll make do with what I have. This bug is only a small nuisance at present.
JimS ======================= Microsoft XPS Document Writer is NOT a printer driver. That’s your problem, you have no driver installed. And I find no fault in that. In fact it is a plus in that Legacy doesn't need to add it to its own large code baggage. I see I have Microsoft XPS Document Writer installed in Printers and Faxes. Nothing else. That seems to satisfy Legacy's printer requirement. I've tried to duplicate this no-screen problem, but with no results. I've rebooted Windoz, a warm boot. No luck. Maybe I need to shutdown completely. I'll try that later. Again I say you have a bug.  When several of us, who have a printer driver installed, report no screen/printer in Reports and we can only get Reports working again after rebooting Legacy ===>> That is a BUG, not a feature. Just pick a standard inkjet printer driver. If you have a printer connected to another computer, use the printer driver option for that printer.  It is not a bug - it's a requirement of Legacy.  It's very easy to set a default printer driver - your Windows Help screen should give you instructions. Whether I have a printer installed or not should not affect viewing reports on screen. But since it does affect screen view, then it is a Legacy bug.
