Hello, Hopefully someone can help me this morning, we are leaving out of town today and am trying to transfer my Legacy 8 data to the laptop for use while traveling and not sure what I'm doing wrong?
I have the data on a flash drive, trying to install on a Windows-Mac Maverick w/ VM Fusion, Windows 7. The correct file is listed on a Cruzer Blade USB flash Drive, shows up in the folders on the laptop. I tried the following: 1. went "import" per instructions in the program, doesn't give me an option to copy files from the E drive, only a GEDCOM or PAF. And doesn't know what to import, I don't see how to find the E drive from that option 2. Tried clicking on the folder of the Legacy file on the E drive and at the top it has a click down menu to "open with Legacy 8", but doesn't do anything when I click on it. 3. Also tried the option to open a Family File but doesn't find any files either, only looking on the computer, not the E drive. I have installed Deluxe v. 8, build 414 on the original computer. I'm new to using both Windows and Mac together, but I don't think that is the issue, Windows is working just fine. I must be missing something simple but I don't know what it is. . .hopefully someone can help me right away. . .??
