Cathy, I truly appreciate your help. Here are the responses to your questions.
1. version .414 2. No problems printing reports or using any part of legacy until yesterday. I did add a printer, but it printed fine after the change. The problem came when I closed Legacy and restarted it. 3.Windows 7 - Never had an issue with this and have been using since I downloaded Legacy 8 in January, I believe. 4. Legacy 8 is on my C: drive under programs. The reason I tried to delete the home folder is the error code on legacy webpage noted I should delete my home folder and reinstall. I tried uninstalling but this stopped saying I needed administrator privileges, which I have. 5. I have tried many things to get legacy off of my computer so that I can reinstall. I cannot figure out how to uninstall so that I can reinstall hopefully fixing the 'cannot latch onto memory' therefore I do not have a printer to use for printing documents in Legacy. Thanks you so much again.Renee From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [LegacyUG] Legacy 8 starts very slow and odd windows show up Date: Mon, 28 Apr 2014 10:46:11 -0700 I finally got legacy to uninstall. I reinstalled and the program still would not open. When I went to uninstall again, I get a message saying it cannot uninstall because Family Search, Charting and Legacy are open, which they are not. I opened charting to close it thinking this would maybe clear the uninstall error. I then get "access violation at address 008744D4 in module "legacy charting.exe" Read of address 00000000C. I also get the "select report fonts" window that you would get when you are trying to change the fonts. I get that window and the access violation window after the opening legacy 8.0 box. When I close the first access violation, I get another access violation of 00A7DC3E in module "legacy charting.exe." read of address 000000000057. Now when I click OK the access violation window will not close.
