Yes, I've surmised as much in that Roxio has never been a clean player in the
Windows game. I use Roxio but its several versions older (nothing really new in
the newer versions) and I'm running Legacy v7.5. I've either been lucky enough
in that the Roxio installer did its job and then properly vanished or I may
have manually removed any offending files. The OP may have to revert to a
manual fix of his files but that's not anything I'd like to recommend to an
unknown user over this forum. I guess I just wasn't aware that other programs
were having the same interference problems with Roxio. Sounds to me that he may
have to spend some time on the Roxio forums. Good luck with that.

In the end and lacking any other fix, the OP may want to take a look at
https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071017170012AApdZSn.

This involves a manual reg-edit so if the OP is not comfortable doing that
himself, he may want to seek out someelse that knows what can and what should
not be deleted from the registry.

Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] Build 8.0.0.454 Conflict With Another Program

This issue has been around for years and was discussed in the Roxio forum where
others where having this very same problem with Roxio interfering with other
programs.

We are just passing along the information that they posted in their forum.

It's worth a try
