Hallo Markus,

Hi,
After all, when abandoning the lib(j)irctrx2 folders (that appear to
work presently for windows only), I'm not sure what we loose doing so
- for aught I know, Markus worked in some substantial enhancements in
terms of reliability there, compared to the lib(j)irctrcx versions(?).
I improved the reliability and the speed of the transfer. I ran into
some troubles porting it to linux, because the flush and purge
operations are not implemented on linux. I didn't even start development
on the MacOS version because I do not have any access to a mac.
Well, we could certainly do with improvements in regard to the transfer
reliability and speed in leJOS 3.0.
However, for the sake of obtaining a three platforms release from one
single code base, it might be a good minmax strategy to leave the
lib(j)irctrcx2 stuff out and focus on getting lib(j)irctrcx (re)working
on Windows running.
In a hypothetical next steps we could then merge the lib(j)irctrcx2
improvements with lib(j)irctrcx (on which way ever this could be done).
Is that commonly agreed?
If so, is there anybody who is desperate to tackle this task? :-)
If not - reasonable alternatives?

Matthias
