Libertarians are NOT republicans. You are confusing the two. It was the
republicans that are the "Blame America First" crowd. Recall after 9/11
that Bush proclaimed "they hate America because of our freedom". So what
was the first thing republicans did? They started taking away our freedoms!
They hopped into bed with Hillary and Teddy and gave us the USA Patriot Act,
and the Orwellian Dept of Homeland Security to keep us in line and the
Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to get us all used to watching
our loved ones being groped by carnies with political connections.
All because we had to give up our freedoms so that they will like us.
And they STILL didn't like us.
Then the neocons and the rest of the republicans along with their democrat
compatriots gave us USA PATRIOT II, and a host of other restrictions on our
freedoms, including equating the drug war with support of terrorism.
So that is why I get bothered by so-called libertarians that scream that we
must capitulate, join with the "Blame America First" crowd of democrats and
republicans, and give up what little liberty is left.
