Granted.  I never stated it justified the action.  I was demonstrating
that, as of the 2004 election, there was enough support to get the
votes.  Only making a political point.

No.  The only thing close that I could stomach, and it is not
something which I would propose, would be a general national service
requirement upon reaching adulthood.  This could be fulfilled through
any type of public service, military or otherwise.
I would not propose this becuase I think it is uneccesary.  I also
realize that it is contradictory to pure Libertarianism, as it uses
the force of government to compel the service.
I would object to on these grounds, however, I would be able to live
with it since I see little harm in the concept and there are some
societal benefits.
