again this is the all or nothing approach that has placed the LP in the political wilderness. I dont beleive the public is interested at freedom at any price and that is reflected by the LP share of the vote. imo if the LP is to get anywher politically, it must pursue freedom, but not at any price. some costs are just too great to bear, for example drugs. there is no universal principle that is applicable to all situations, which is what the LP considers freedom to be. its a political looser.
