Yes.  Various trademarked names for the same thing - "BurnProof", "JustLink",
"PowerBurn", etc. all are methods of preventing buffer underrun from ruining a
disk burn by stopping the burn process whenever the data isn't streaming to the
drive quick enough, then, continuing when there is.

  They'll read DVDs and play them, but not at full 30fps speed w/o a Margi
DVD-to-GO DVD PCMCIA decoder card!

  Sony products are always expensive.  Got mine at tech4less.com for ~$180, and
www.ebay.com has them now and then.

  Otherwise, look at the Exp PCMCIA powered combo drives here:

  See EXP drives above.  But PCMCIA drives are getting rare; a USB 2.0 pcmcia
card to USB 2.0 drive will work very well, and should be cheap ($10 for the
card; $50+ for the drive).
