It does but it's powered thru the Cardbus slot unless I run on the battery then
I plug in the AC adapter - but, I rarely need to burn a CD whilst on the battery
and in fact I don't think I ever have!
Huh... I didn't know the drive could be powered that way. I've been leaving the AC power attached and switching the PC card from 16 bit to cardbus when using it with the 100 and 70, thinking that it must operate a bit faster with cardbus and XP.
But in the past 24 hours, I've found out that EAC has been is encountering errors ripping MP3s via Lame. The system also freezes for 10-20 seconds when loading EAC, or at least the mouse freezes until the system loads EAC.
This didn't happen with W98SE. I'm wondering if I ought to set the drive up as a 16 bit drive insstead. Or pull the AC adapter. Or both.
