I keep trying out other CD-RW drives as well - invariably they are USB drives but I keep going back to my HP M820e because the USB drives are either slower or not any faster, they also seem to be much more expensive, heavier and kind of clunkier to boot. The M820e is foolproof (I've never had a bad write using it in W2K on my L110!) , doesn't require an external power supply, it's lightweight and very small and the HP version looks cool......#8~} These and the Ricoh versions sell for $75-$100 on eBay with an occasional new one popping up for $140-$150, half.com has them for about the same price with new ones going for up to $200 or more.
