I'd be interested in this too.

I have a USB2.0 card which I run a Sony DVD/CDRW drive through. The idea
is for playing DVD movies on my 110CT (i've got a Margi card too) and
i'd like to know if there's anything I could do to improve performance .
.. . It seems to work fast enough, but i've not yet had chance to do a
performance test.

Nick,

Do you have a CF memory card of any kind for a camera, MP3 player or some other device? With that and a USB2 CF card reader, you could time the transfer of data and get some idea of how fast the USB2 connection is.

As I recall,I can fill up my 340MB microdrive with MP3s in about 7 minutes with my USB 1.1. That works out to 4.8MB/min which is pretty slow considering the maximum optimaized transfer depending on system hardware for USB1.1 is rated at 1.5MB/sec. That's MB as in Bytes, not Mb as bits.

But I'd be interested in how long a similar test of data would take from the Lib to a CF card via a USB2.0 connection.

Matt
