Hi Nick,

From: "Nick Rees" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

I don't have any CF devices, the best I could manage is a 128MB Memory
Stick which I just happen to have a drive built into my Sony DVD/CDRW.

I can be slow at wrapping my undertsanding around some basic stuff... but you have a "drive built into" your "Sony DVD/CDRW"? Or a 128MB Memory stick "built into" your "Sony DVD/CDRW"?

Don't say I didn't warn you... ;-P

I think my MS drive made about 18MB/min . . .

I'm guessing you saw my follow-up correcting 4.8MB/min to 48MB/Min or 48MB/sec, right? 18MB/min is slower than what I saw for my USB1.1 transfer. As I recall, Lawrence was pointing out that CPU speed was likely to be the limiting factor for USB2.0 transfer time. It'll be interesting to see what is reported.

I'll get my hands on my brother's Zen and see what I can get it to do .

I know D.T. Suzuki, but for some reason I'd guess you're referring to the Nomad Jukebox Zen (...had to do a Google search... I'd forgotten it was an MP3 player). Yeah... it has a USB2.0 interface. That ought to be an interesting test.

.. . results won't be till sunday though!

Unless you 1st take your quite portable Libby to him!

One way or the other, keep us posted.

Matt (Beginning to load everything back onto the 20GB, and just live with the 1st partition Ghost problem)
