Irv -
select 'Director #blah' in the Finder, press cmd-D
launch 'Director #blah copy'
(since the path is the same, everything (Xtras, etc.) will found & it 
will function as expected)

note: In this situation, when saving, you might get some 'need to 
updated this movie' type messages. The Finder & Director have just 
gotten their ownerships mucked up & Director can yield an 
inappropriate message.  Save As works fine though.
