Gentlemen, Gentlemen.... lend me your ears.. (and some of your cranial
nerve ending too)
I have done a bit of checking up on both of you.... So, as a "third
party" let it be stated that it is my belief that neither of you have a
lack of intelligence!
In the area of electronics and engineering, it might surprise both of you,
if you don't already know, of the competence of each!!
Steve, you have heard from this thread, things that you truly understand,
but do not choose to expend your energy. You clearly have a greater
understanding of APRS than most. Riley, you have a hunger for the
"best". Both of you together could address the "best possible".
Riley, why not accept Steve's encouragement and "guidance" in the nuances
of a "kludged up" APRS, to develope this "better" approach that you
envision..... This is what Steve has done, and I am certain that what he
has ended up with is NOT his first, second and for sure, not his best idea
of how to do his adaptation of this system.... so....
Advance of the "race" has its roots in acceptance...... and hopefully
before the promoters "pass on". Most "purists and realists" have a
significant similarity...... LOOKING FOR THE
BOUNDARIES! So,,,,, together..... GO PUSH
THEM...... Together..... Riley, encourage Steve to "open his mind" to
mentor you on the realities of his experiences, and Steve, encourage Riley
to maintain his enthusiastic drive to feel the joy of
accomplishment..... a successful step.... or leap.. into an improved
system for all of us.... who may not know or care enough to appreciate
your efforts...
CHARGE FORWARD....... (but not at each other ;-)
