OK. But this is rather a minority. I remember seeing a Linus distro (I
believe it was Spiro Linux) whose mascot was a fox. But most others use
Tux like the plague.

No. I meant cartoon-like humans. (or humans faces, or parts of them, etc.)
Do you seriously mean that a human as a commercial icon will be frowned
upon by religious Jews and Muslims? Religion is weird, I'd tell you that.

I'm not sure I agree with you. I don't like the person John Smith who
lives in the most obscure street somewhere in the USA, simply because I do
not know him. When we meet, I'll be polite and try to be friendly to him,
but for the while I don't have any feelings towards him.

I personally hate poodles. I'm a cat person actually, but I think I prefer
either big dogs who have a good temper, or small dogs that looks less
bizarre than poodles.

I don't know. She said she does not like animals. But I think she is fond
of cartoons featuring them and stuff like that.

Oh and I'm not very fond of Horses either. I am particularily fond of
hyraxes, ibexes, weasels, gibbons, some parrots and most other birds,
bears (as long as they don't attack me), and perhaps others I forgot. And
like I said, I like cats. The Large Cats are very elegant but they scare
me a bit.
