Try generic monitor. If that doesn't work, try specifying the frequencies. They
should be given in the Monitor manual.

This is now well documented. Please go through the archives to get the solution
for this. Actually solve this first, then try the monitor problem later.

Set Advanced Power Management from the BIOS.

Unless its a windows only modem (aka winmodem), it should work fine under
Linux. Com1 = /dev/ttyS0, com2 = /dev/ttyS1
Modem init string same as in windows.

UUCP, try doing man uucp. Sorry haven't got round to fiddling with this stuff
yet.
