If you are using udma disk+controller and a 5400+ rpm disk, then
you should get more than 15MB/s for bufferred disk reads. Buffered cache
read speeds vary depending on your cpu, cpu speed, fsb speed etc, and can
be anything from 30MB/s (P-100) to 120MB/s (P-III 550MHz).
