Hi,
Sorry for the OT post. Anybody tried the BeOS 5 on May Chip CD? My
machine's specs fit those on Be's HCL, but it bombs on boot with a
"Kernel Panic" error message (full error message available on request).
Any ideas?
I'll be parallely trying some Be oriented lists and I'll post the
results **if anybody is interested** .
<BeOS 5 Info>
BeOS 5 Personal Edition is a free version of Be's latest OS. It
installs on 'doze 9x/NT/2K using something analogous to a Linux UMSDOS
partition. It's booted with a boot floppy or on 9x with a Loadlin style
loader.
There is a commercial version BeOS 5 Professional that adds SMP plus
some commercial software.
More info -- if I ever get it to work.
</BeOS 5 Info>
thanks,
Biju
