so fine ... find some way to migrate the passwords (or at least the
usernames, virtual users etc - those will be standard /etc/passwd and a
plaintext file with virtual users... easy to import).
Mail spool can be moved over as it is, I think (if it stores mail in standard
mbox format - one mailbox file /var/spool/mail/username - say)

hotmail's dns has to refresh itself, query your dns server for the changes
etc ... that takes anywhere between a few hours to a few days.

hmmm... then change the mx records to a new ip and put delta on that

exim is that, by default

depends ... max 12 hours, say for this. new ips will propogate instantly,
almost, though.
