I read 'Net-3-HOWTO', 'Ppp-HOWTO' 'Serial-HOWTO' and 'Dns-HOWTO' both in
english and in spanish and couldn't setup my ppp connection. I tried
later with many of the 17 Ppp-faq with same results for almost a month,
and I am still NOT connected to my ISP. Same after posting lots of
e-mails in different mailing lists, and I really appreciate all the
hints I received...
I don't understand lots of terms but of course, I'm not a 'computerist'.
Yesterday, without knowing why or how, I could navigate with netscape
for linux. But today -and without touching anything- again Netscape says
that it cannot find a DNS entry...
My two questions are:
- Is there ONE AND JUST one file or howto or book that explains
'really-how-to' get connected???
- Is this the usual learning/training curve for newest Linux users or
just a matter of incompatibility between 'him' and me and I should stop
this issue and go back to easier Operating Systems?!
TIA and excuse me for my plea...
