Don't get frustrated and give up..
It does get easier..(somewhat)..but even after a while, when you approach
an area that you've had no experiences in, you've gotta start hunting
through all the cryptic info for that one little scrap of a code line
example, that makes the whole thing utterly clear!!
Stay with it, you'll find the benefits are more than worthwhile.
ISP customer service folks are utterly useless for the most part, and
won't give you much help. You may need to experiment with some different
chat scripts to finally get connected (I did).
Some ISP's that use chat scripts of their own device can be very difficult
to connect to at first, for example, I wasn't able to use ppp-on in any
way, shape or form, and thus had to write my own.
Keep trudging, you'll get there.
