Hi Jose, I can sympthize with you, I tried for days to get connected,
but to no avail. I used the PPP-HOWTO and the CONFIGURE-HOWTO and
couldn't seem to go anywhere. I was using three scripts called ppp-on,
ppp-on-dialer and ppp-off and whenever i tried to use them they did not
work. I them thought I would make them accessible by all users and
issued the command chmod 750 ppp-on etc etc. This was however wrong and
what this did was made these files executable, and low and behold when
cd'd myself to the dir (/etc/ppp/scripts) and typed ppp-on it worked :)
and now I have a working ppp connection, althjough I still cannot figure
out how to make the ppp scripts accessible by all users and still have
to log on as root.
Keep trying you will get there in the end :)
