KDE Virtual Desktop

I have been trying to turn off the "Virtual Desktop" but have not been able
to do so as yet.By virtual desktop I mean when I point the pointer to the
end of the screen the whole screen moves left giving me more space on the
desktop.This becomes a problem while scrolling, when what I am reading goes
off the screen when I attempt to scroll.

How do I get a fixed screen?
