Hi Josia,
Since your running Red Hat why not do an RPM install. Much easier for a newbie
than having to compile source code, etc. Check it out at.
ftp://ftp.de.kde.org/pub/kde/stable/1.1pre2/distribution/rpm/
Besure to read the README files as they will give you information on which
items to download and tips on installing and using KDE.
